Structure of the Arab High School
Dubai offers a wide range of high school curricula, including:
• British Curriculum (GCSEs and A-Levels):
- Students complete the GCSE (General Certificate of Secondary Education) at the end of Grade 10.
- Subsequently, in Grade 11 and 12, select 3-4 core subjects to obtain A-Levels, a
globally recognized diploma.
• American curriculum (high school diploma):
- A flexible system based on the accumulation of credits.
- Students take required courses (English, mathematics, science, history) and choose from a wide range
range of electives.
- The diploma is obtained by completing a specific number of credits.
• International Baccalaureate (IB):
- A rigorous international curriculum that requires students to study six subjects (three at level
standard and three at the advanced level), in addition to completing an in-depth essay, a course in Theory of
Knowledge and the CAS program (Creativity, Action, Service).
• Other Curricula:

The school calendar in Dubai follows a standardized model for public and private schools regulated by the UAE Ministry of Education, with some variations depending on the curriculum (British, American, IB, etc.).
The academic year is divided into three quarters.
